NumevaNumerology compatibility takes two Life Path numbers and describes the pattern the pair tends to form — where the pull is, where the friction is, and what each person keeps asking the other for. It does not score love, and it cannot see your particular partner. A 2 and a 6 form a home-frequency pair (both give, both hold); a 1 and an 8 form two commanders with one org chart. Neither pairing is "good" or "bad": the first can smother, the second can build something neither could alone. Read a compatibility result as a map of the likely arguments, not as a rating of the relationship. This guide explains how the readings are built, which pairs carry which pattern, and how to use one honestly.
How a compatibility reading is built
Each Life Path has a theme and a shadow (the number map). A pair reading looks at how the two themes combine and where the two shadows collide:
- Same number (1 × 1, 6 × 6…) — maximum understanding, minimum counterbalance. Two 6s (Numeva calls the pair Double Devotion) understand care completely and can both over-give until nobody is receiving. Two 1s (Two Flames) understand drive and compete for the wheel.
- Complementary numbers — one has what the other lacks. 4 × 8 (Empire Hands: structure and results) and 2 × 6 (Home Frequency: partnership and care) are the classic high-resonance pairs because the themes reinforce each other and the shadows do not overlap.
- Contrasting numbers — the themes point in different directions. 7 × 8 (Monastery & Market), 3 × 7 (Surface & Depths), 4 × 9 (Plow & Horizon). These are the pairs where the reading is most useful, because the friction is predictable and nameable.
Numeva attaches a resonance score (0–100) to each pair — 2 × 6 sits at 92, 4 × 8 at 88, 1 × 8 at 58, 7 × 8 at 56 — and groups them into four bands: high resonance (80+), strong current (65–79), working blend (50–64), growth pair (below 50). The score is a summary of how naturally the themes fit, not a prediction of how the relationship will go. "Growth pair" is not a euphemism for "doomed"; it means the relationship's work is visible from the start.

Master numbers read through their base with more voltage: an 11 pairs like a 2 that runs hot, a 22 like a 4 with a bigger plan, a 33 like a 6 that teaches. Numeva shows the master number and reads the pair through the base.
What a low score means — and what it doesn't
A working-blend or growth-pair score means the two themes do not reinforce each other by default, so the relationship needs an explicit arrangement the high-resonance pairs get for free. 7 × 8 works when the 8 funds and protects the 7's depth without demanding a return on it, and the 7 gives the 8's empire a why. That is a real arrangement many couples run happily. What the score does not measure: attraction, history, values, humour, money, the family you each came from, whether either of you is kind. Those decide relationships. The numbers describe the weather they happen in.
The mistake to avoid is the reverse one too: a 92 is not a guarantee. Two people in a home-frequency pair can close the door on the world together and call it love; the reading names that risk on the pair's page, which is the whole reason to read past the score.
Beyond the Life Path: the rest of the pair
Life Path compatibility is the first layer, not the only one. Two more are worth knowing:
- Soul Urge × Soul Urge (from the vowels of the names): what each of you privately wants. Pairs with matching Life Paths and clashing Soul Urges argue about the how, not the what. Numeva's deeper layers read this pair too.
- Personal year phase: whether you are in the same nine-year cycle, adjacent years, or out of phase. Two people three years apart in the cycle are often in a 1-year and a 4-year at once — one starting, one building — and mistake it for incompatibility when it is timing (the cycles guide).
And one number that changes daily: the shared day, the sum of two people's personal days. Because everyone's personal day advances by one each day, the difference between two people is constant all year — "you are out of phase today" would be true every day or never. The sum moves, and Numeva shows it for everyone in your People list: a small daily reason to look at the pair rather than the individual.
How to use a reading with someone you love
- Read both pages: yours × theirs, then theirs × yours. The pattern is symmetric, the experience is not.
- Find the sentence you recognise and the one you resist. The resisted one is usually the useful one.
- Say it out loud together. "The reading says the 8 keeps score — do I?" is a better conversation than any score.
- Do not use it to end anything. Numbers do not know your partner, and they do not know what you will both do next.

Which Life Path numbers are most compatible?
In Numeva's readings the highest-resonance pairs are 2 × 6 (92), 4 × 8 (88), 6 × 6 (84) and 2 × 2 (80) — pairs whose themes reinforce each other. "Most compatible" means the fit is natural, not that the relationship is better.
Which Life Path numbers should not be together?
None. The lowest-resonance pairs (around 50–60: 7 × 8, 1 × 8, 3 × 7) are pairs whose themes point in different directions, which makes the work visible early. Many long relationships are exactly these pairs.
Do master numbers change compatibility?
They read through their base (11 as 2, 22 as 4, 33 as 6) with more intensity. An 11 × 8 pair carries the 2 × 8 pattern with the 11's nervous voltage added on the 2's side.
Is name compatibility more accurate than Life Path compatibility?
It is a different layer, not a more accurate one: Soul Urge and Expression come from the names and describe wants and talents; the Life Path comes from the date and describes the road. Read both when you can — Numeva shows the name layers for Pro.
